Montserrat Charles Wesley FDC

Comments:
Hi --

Following eruptions of the Soufriere Hills volcano in 1995-97, the capital of Montserrat, Plymouth, was buried in mud and ash, and has been abandoned and deserted ever since.

This cancellation stamp says "Plymouth Montserrat 2007." Montserrat may be keeping the stamp for sentimental reasons, but the stamp couldn't possibly have been cancelled in Plymouth.

(I've been to Montserrat twice, it's a wonderful place.)
